As a dedicated BSA, I meet one-on-one with clients to configure and implement brand new databases that meet business requirements. I keep implementation projects on track through utilizing project organizers, meeting weekly with clients, and communicating frequently via email. I help with change management and train end users so they are confident with their new software.
I took a client's database live for their Inventory, Sales, Purchasing, and Accounting business workflows, beginning in March 2024 and fully functioning by May. I trained my client through the use of videos and virtual meetings; where they not only learned how to use the database but to import and do configurations on their own. I supported them during this change by setting up a communication log on Google Sheets and scheduling frequent meetings. I have continued to support this client through other phases of implementation including Website/Ecommerce, multi-company environments, and CRM.
I worked with a client to import products, Bill of Materials, Chart of Accounts, Budget Codes, open invoices, open bills, and a trial balance for their day-to-day business operations. During this process I trained end users how to utilize their modules in the most efficient way. This project began in January of 2024 and went live April 2024.
My second successful implementation project as a BSA at Odoo involved the following modules: Field Service, CRM, Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, and Inventory. This implementation project began in November and went live January 2024. This business's pain points were a lack of an inventory system and internal communication, and their goal was to go live by the new year. While meeting their deadline, keeping the scope on track, and making customizations that met their needs, this client now has a streamlined management system in which they can communicate interally via the "chatter," connect their opportunities, sales orders, and field service tasks, while printing field service worksheets as reports for their superintendent.
One of my first clients went live with Field Service, Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, and Inventory. I developed strong rapport with this client as I problem solved and advocated for this client throughout the entire process. This client and I worked closely together on business scenarios, resulting in a successful project.
I collaborated with a business partner to manage the start up of her business, Haa Hijabs LLC, to provide affordable hijabs for organizations throughout Minnesota. From budgeting, to gathering necessary documents, creating a website, logo, and slogan, and meeting regularly to ensure project movement, we were successful in getting her business up and running.
I worked on a project to bring hijabs and skirts to all health offices in a MN school district. Maryan Ali, a Somali cultural liaison, saw a need for extra hijabs in case Muslim girls spilled on or got their hijabs dirty during the school day. Ali contacted me and my colleague, Becca Buck, to help her with this large project. We saw this project through from start to finish.
I created this flier on Adobe Spark encouraging community members to contribute to our cause. We posted this flier on social media and throughout the community. Our goal was $800, but we ended up raising more than $2,000! Because of this, we were able to purchase skirts as well as hijabs.
With our new funds, we partnered with local hijab businesses. We purchased 126 hijabs of many varieties, sizes, colors, and styles. We also purchased four different sizes of skirts for all eight elementary schools in the district.
Next, we ordered 200 patches to iron onto each hijab and skirt. We were so lucky that community members volunteered their time to help iron.
Finally, the resources were ready for distribution! We dropped off 13 paper bags to the district head nurse so she could distribute them to all district nurses. To navigate change management, Ali, Buck, and I held a meeting with all district nurses and educated them about hijab types and application.
