As a Business Systems Analyst, I have experience analyzing business workflows and creating streamlined solutions to maximize efficiency. Specifically, I work with technology to configure databases to improve business's day to day work. I collaborate with my points of contact to ensure requirements are met and solutions are satisfactory.

I am extremely organized and document everything. From note taking at meetings, to creating agendas for each meeting on Google Docs, to documenting workflows, there is never a piece of information forgotten. I monitor and update progress on project organizers such as Excel and Google Sheets, always communicating progress with my teams and moving projects along in an efficient manner. I recognize items that are out of scope to keep projects on time and on budget.

Part of my role as a Business Systems Analyst is to configure accounting modules, train clients on reconciling payments, set up Analytic Accounts and Groups, how to create journal entries, how to perform manual inventory valuations, and how to read and organize their General Ledger, Profit and Loss, and Balance Sheet. 

My most recent role regarding Accounting has been traveling across the country to teach Odoo Academy - Accounting. In this course, I have guided accountants how to navigate from Procurement to Reporting and how to debit and credit the necessary accounts along the way. Along with this, I also help accountants troubleshoot in their accounting software so that they can accurately manage their business's money flow.

I have two degrees in education and six years of experience educating students and training staff. I approach my teaching through building authentic relationships, creating comprehensive resources, reviewing, and supportive practice opportunities. From working in a very diverse setting, I have experience teaching multilingual learners and am proud of my ability to reach those who speak other languages. On top of this, I have experience creating a scope, objectives, success criteria, monitoring progress, and assessing.

I have leveraged my teaching skills to train Odoo users in our accounting module. I have traveled the country instructing in Odoo Accounting Academy, creating the scope/coursework and guiding users through workflows. Effectively using the co-teaching model with my colleague, we have been able to reach individual needs creating a differentiated learning experience for users. 

I am passionate about collaborating with others who bring different perspectives and innovative ideas to our team. In my experience as the Equity Leader, I have found passionate team members who have brought value to our team and have made positive change. I also have conducted interviews, seeking out talented educators and administration to join our school.

My experience in education has shown me the importance of community building and investing in your people. Through getting to know people's cultures, backgrounds, and interests, and forming genuine connections, I have been able to collaborate with incredible people and produce amazing work. I believe that collaboration produces the best results, especially if your team feels respected and valued. I also believe that diversity is a strength. Bringing together different types of skills and experiences creates an unstoppable team.

I love being creative. The most fun part of my previous positions has been exploring my creativity on digital platforms. I have experience making fliers on Adobe, worksheets on Canva, documentation through Google Docs, and have made plenty of interactive and engaging presentations on PowerPoint and Google Slides. My design strategy involves making content comprehensive for those who speak multiple languages or have disabilities. I have found that this makes information accessible for all.
